PERFORMANCE

concert

Our annual mid-year concert is a much-loved highlight of the Studio 2 Dance calendar. Usually held towards the end of Term 2, this exciting weekend features multiple performances, allowing students to showcase their hard work on stage while family and friends come together to celebrate the joy of dance, creativity, and performance.

At Studio 2 Dance, it is our firm belief — and guiding motto — that every boy and girl deserves the opportunity to shine on stage. Our concert is designed to be a positive, inclusive experience for all students, whether it’s their very first time performing or they’re a seasoned performer. The focus is on confidence, growth, and pride in what they have achieved throughout the year.

To support families, we also offer a unique costume hire system, ensuring all students look incredible on stage without the pressure of purchasing expensive costumes each year. This allows us to maintain high presentation standards while keeping performances affordable and accessible for all families.

showcase

To finish the year, our Showcase & Presentation is our celebration of our students’ achievements. This informal event is the opportunity to present some of the exam work students have been, skills that have been acquired and some small routines from each of our classes.

It is also our presentation performance recognising the hard work of our students throughout the year. We also have a ‘graduating’ presentation for those students in our Tippy Toes Program who will be going to school the following year and therefore moving up into our main school.

There are no costumes for Showcase, with students only needing to wear their class uniform.

performance troupe

Our Performance Troupes provide dedicated dancers with the opportunity to take their training to the next level while forming strong friendships along the way. These teams represent Studio 2 Dance at eisteddfods, competitions, and promotional performances throughout our region, building confidence, resilience, and a true sense of belonging.

Selection is by audition and is open to students who have danced with us for at least one year, are enrolled in Ballet, Jazz, and Acro at their age level, and are committed to sitting exams. Due to the nature of troupe training, dancers must also be able to commit to the Performance Team schedule, which is set at the beginning of each year.

Performance Troupe is ideal for motivated students who love working as part of a team, supporting one another, and creating lifelong friendships through dance.
